The panelled wall units slide back to reveal a state of the art entertainment system perfect for a night in with the family.This intervention led to a reinvigorated front façade and porch, this uniquely sculpted overhung soffit made from red cedar tapers back toward the front door. The counter levered soffit brings a warm sense of arrival to the house. We clad the porch in burnt larch timber which is hard wearing yet beautifully natural, integrated a hidden postal cupboard/ storage area and electric charging point into the design.The final intervention brought together the dining room, old downstairs toilet and old kitchen together into a new large open plan kitchen space. The new kitchen takes advantage of some of the latest smart tech available we designed a bespoke light / cooker hood called the 'blade'. We also introduced a movable island which can move across the space to allow for large family gatherings.
