I thought of this as I walked around Bath’s 14th century abbey over the weekend, mixing with tourists and locals alike. As the organ softly sang and the golden afternoon light painted the chapel. I couldn't believe there was something this fantastic was in my own country.
Travel is juxtaposition and reinforcement in equal measure. The comparison of other cultures against your own is unavoidable. It is only when your return, that you realise how lucky you are.
